Morning Emotional Check-In
Before reaching for your phone, sit quietly for 2 minutes and notice how you feel. Name the emotion (e.g., 'anxious', 'hopeful', 'calm'). Simply naming emotions reduces their intensity and builds self-awareness.

Spend 5 minutes on a loving-kindness (metta) meditation. Silently repeat: 'May I be happy. May I be healthy. May I be safe.' Then extend the same wishes to someone you love, a neutral person, and someone you find difficult.

In your journal, write down one specific thing you appreciate about someone in your life and why. For example: 'I appreciate that my partner made coffee this morning because it showed they were thinking of me.'
